One of those must see places to really believe, nestled in the heart of Europe, the Czech Republic offers so much in a country so small; from stunning castles to old medieval towns, spa towns to natural wonders… but lets not forget it is home to some of the best beer in the world.
At its heart, Prague, a capital filled with culture, known as the “city if a thousand spires”, with beautiful churches, quaint cobbled streets, medieval bridges all watched over by Prague castle sitting perfect on the hill overlooking the city. With centuries old buildings, amazing hearty Czech cuisine, breweries, great markets and cafes… there is almost never enough time here.
Not far from the capital there are some truly beautiful places to check out, like the hot spring town of Kalovy Vary, or the gothic castle masterpiece Karlstejn, maybe explore a church filled with human bones in Kutna Hora, or just head to the home of pilsner beer, the city of Plzen.
As part of former Czechoslovakia, it became the Czech Republic in 1993 with the Velvet Divorce, when Slovakia and the Czech Republic separated peacefully. Both countries are amazing, but the Czech Republic is far more popular with tourists.
Little known Monrovia, is a great wine growing region, with rolling hills, traditional food and the city of Brno. So do remember, the Czech Republic is all about beer, there are some amazing wines to try here as well.
